Foster caregivers provide the loving, nurturing environment for the dog while they are between the shelter and their forever home. Fosters may provide basic medical care (e.g. administering medications or changing bandages) and transportation to and from vet appointments and adoption events. All medical expenses for the dog are paid for by APFP. The daily cost of fostering a dog may be covered as well, if needed. The length of a foster stay is variable. We will work with you to determine what is best.
